It's always fun to spot familiar equipment when a new vessel makes the news. This time, it's aboard Defiant, the latest tugboat delivered by Alabama-based Master Boat Builders to New Orleans-based Maritime Partners.

Marine Wipers and Firefighting Equipment Aboard Defiant

The 88-foot tug is the third in a planned series of eight, built to handle demanding ship-assist, escort, and towing operations. With more than 99 short tons of bollard pull and FFV1 firefighting capability, Defiant is equipped to take on some serious work on the water.

And while the vessel itself is getting the attention, we're happy to see some of the equipment In-Mar helps supply aboard, including marine windshield wipers and firefighting equipment.

Both play important roles in marine operations. Reliable windshield wipers help maintain visibility from the bridge in challenging weather and sea conditions, while specialized firefighting equipment supports a vessel's ability to respond when fire protection is needed.
